About Me

profile photo

Hi, I’m Katrina—a graphic designer and communications professional based in Vancouver, BC.

With a background in web and graphic design and a passion for communication, I bring together visuals and messaging to tell cohesive, compelling brand stories.

I’m known for being highly organized, a reliable team player, and someone who’s always learning. I thrive in collaborative environments where ideas flow and people support each other to do great work.

I specialize in digital design and campaign strategy and execution—everything from building visual identities to crafting communications that resonate across platforms. Currently, I work at Simon Fraser University, where I get to blend design thinking with strategic execution to support a wide range of initiatives.

When I’m not behind a screen, I’m often behind an easel—painting details from the natural world that inspire me. Time outside fuels both my creativity and my calm.

This is a personal project for a fictional restaurant, Mizu, for which I developed a comprehensive branding identity to improve my branding skills. The project includes a full branding proposal, presenting a cohesive visual identity, logo design, colour palette, and collateral to illustrate the brand’s aesthetic and strategic positioning.

I developed this case study for PNW Xray Inc. as part of a user experience design course I took at BCIT. I learned how to do an in-depth competitor analysis and a comprehensive evaluation of the existing website, recommend enhancements to improve the user experience, and propose user interface design to align with strategic user needs and industry standards.
